Esplanade - DAS – Introduction to Sleeping Beauty

In line with Octoburst!, Singapore Dance Theatre will captivate young audiences with an hour of magic, fantasy, fairies, princes, princesses and exquisite dancing. Featuring excerpts and highlights from December’s main production of the timeless classic, Sleeping Beauty.

Presented with narration and dance excerpts, the audience will get to discover interesting facts about dance and pantomime. There will also be a special meet and greet session with the cast, for the children.
Be spellbound by the magic, the opulence and the outstanding choreography of Sleeping Beauty!

Controversial Children's Picture Books

The list author says: "Believe it or not, many classics of the picture book world have been seen as controversial and even been challenged in schools and censored! While not all of these titles are necessarily on the challenged list, they often can cause some raised eyebrows and sputterings in certain circles. ^_^ And yes, there's a lot of overtly challenged picture books that aren't on this list. I'm trying to pick things that folks might not have heard of or will be surprised by." (sic)

Eat With Your Family Day 2012

Centre for Fathering’s

Eat With Your Family Day (EWYFD) is geared to encourage families to have meals together. It acts as a starting point for families to commit to have a meal together on a regular if not daily basis. Through this, we want to make the Asian tradition of family meals the avenue to build family unity and cohesion. We encourage Schools and Organisations to participate by ending all operations at 5pm, allowing their staff to leave work to have dinner with their families.
